Seven Attitudes of Mindfulness Cards

As a practitioner of Mindfulness, I sometimes have to remind myself that it is more than just daily meditation; it's about being in the moment, which is supported by the seven attitudes Jon Kabat-Zinn describes in his book "Full Catastrophe Living". When I find I am losing focus on these attitudes, I use the two sided cards I've made here, one per day, for a week to reinforce each attitude. I found the shorten text for each attitude several places on the web but they stated they have been paraphrased from Jon's book. Here is an example.

Hope you enjoy the cards

I created these cards using an Avery Design tool on
Avery White Business Cards 5371 stock. You can use plain paper if you wish. I personally like the extra firmness of the business card stock.

I created a two page PDF file which contains the front and back images of the cards. In order to download the PDF file, use your computers browser right click sequence on this link Seven Attitudes of Mindfulness.PDF. On Windows, using Chrome, right click over the link and select 'Save Link as ...'

You can print the cards if one of two ways:

  1. If you have a two sided enabled printer, open the PDF file amd  select the two sided printing option for your printer. Print the PDF file following the instructions on how to flip the page and reload the paper.
  2. If your printer does not support two sided printing then,

Your printed page should now show the attitude on one side and the corresponding text description on the reverse.

Help

Full Disclosure - I made these cards initially for myself using text on each attitude found on the web and attributed to Jon Kabat-Zinn. You can Goggle a phrase to links these yourself. I'm now making the available to others. The underwater image on the front is a picture I took. The background on the back is from a provided background by the Avery tool. These are provided as-is with no warranty or claim by myself except they are for personal non-commercial use.

This is version 1.0 on March 18, 2019
